Supporting, Fostering, and Advocating for Your Business Interests

IFRA UK’s primary focus is the development and advancement of the Fragrance Industry we provide a forum which encourages members to maintain high standards in the conduct of their business.

IFRA UK has a Technical Advisory Group (TAG) which meets four/five times a year it consists of experts in specific areas affecting fragrances. The group is enables IFRA UK to act proactively on issues which may affect the industry. We hold information days twice a year which are open to all members and provide updates on key legislative changes and technical issues identified through the TAG. An Executive Committee of twelve deal with policy matters, finance and steer the work of the TAG and ad hoc working groups. IFRA UK also holds ad hoc seminars when appropriate. IFRA UK also host an annual Fragrance Forum which is free for members and rapidly becoming a highlight of the IFRA UK calendar

In addition to the IFRA Code of Practice and Standards, other legislation affecting the Fragrance Industry includes legislation on Intellectual Property, Occupational Health & Safety, cosmetics regulation and REACH amongst many others. Due to the global nature of the Fragrance Industry, IFRA UK believes it is important to monitor worldwide legislative development in order to ensure consistency. It is important that local legislation does not put the UK fragrance industry at a competitive disadvantage, which in turn leads to barriers to trade.
